Im Dev-Team Blog hat sich MuscleNerd in den Kommentaren geäußert, dass es kein neues Yellowsn0w Update für das Baseband 02.30.03 geben wird, denn man möchte auf ein “richtiges” Baseband warten und sich dann auf die Suche begeben.

Laut dem DEv-Team hat Apple das neue Baseband nur wegen Yellowsn0w veröffentlicht, damit der Unlock nicht möglich ist. Auch dieses wurde kommentiert und daher wird man noch mit einem Update warten.

Benutzer die ihr iPhone auf das neue BAseband geupdatet haben, müssen warten oder sich eine Unlock Karte zulegen, damit wenigstens der SMS Versand und das Telefonieren weiterhin klappt.

Wann es ein neues Update in Sachen yellowsn0w geben wird, ist nicht klar, jedoch gehe ich davon aus, dass es noch einige Zeit dauern wird.

Das Rip-Dev Team hat einen neuen Sicherheitsschutz namens “Kali Anit-Piracy” für die AppStore Applikationen entwickelt.

Ich habe keinen Mac und deswegen kann ich es nicht testen. Aber es sieht so aus, als ob es bald möglich ist, sein iPod zu jailbreaken, ich bin gespannt!

Es ist bekannt, dass auf OS X 10.5.6 DFU Mode nicht ohne Weiteres möglich ist. Das DevTeam schlägt folgendes vor.
1. Estelle ein Account bei Apple Developer Connection, dies nimmt wenige Minuten in Anspruch: http://developer.apple.com/mac/
2. Lade image von “IOUSBFamily Log release for Mac OS X 10.5.5 Build 9F33” runter.
3. Installiere IOUSBFamily-315.4.1.pkg von diesem Image.
4. Starte Mac neu.

Wichtig: Die Applikation Pusher ist kein Unlock, da yellowsn0w und sn0wman das neue Baseband noch nicht supporten.
Daher sollten die Besitzer vom gelockten iPhone3G nicht Updaten !

Das RipDev hat keine 24 Stunden nach dem Update der Firmware den Pusher der neuen IPSW angepasst.
Damit erfolgt sozusagen ein Jailbreak, da der Root Zugang nicht geöffnet wird. Jedoch ist dieses bereits der wichtige Schritt in die richtige Richtung.
Pusher installiert automatisch den AppInstaller.

Anleitung
